Endless Possibilities: Creating Custom Home Décor and Gifts with Laser Technology

Frequently I get asked what I use to create my handmade home décor and gifts, so here it goes!
In 2019, I bought a table top laser machine, the Glowforge Basic, and began designing dimensional wood signs and gifts. Having experience using a Cricut and Silhouette vinyl cutting machines, adapting to the Glowforge's user-friendly design wasn't too difficult.
In 2021, I decided to add a larger machine that would give me the flexibility to cut out bigger signs, have a larger engraving surface to work with and give me the capability of running two machines during busy times.
I'm a bit of an over thinker and very cost-conscious, so I took my time researching various options and decided that the Omtech 80watt C02 Laser Engraver and Wood Cutter would be the right fit for me.
I'm not going to lie, expanding to a larger machine requiring time to figure out how to set it up and run it, plus learn all new software was a bit scary. But, I took the plunge, did it scared and have learned a lot along the way!
I enjoy being able to accommodate larger designs and create with a wide variety of various materials like acrylic, wood, leather, plastics, fabrics, glass, rubber, cork and more.
Possibilities are endless! Creating custom home décor and gifts with laser technology is one of my favorite things to do.
