DIY Macrame Snowflake Ornament Tutorial | J.U. Designs

Macrame is a beautiful and versatile craft that can be used to create many  decorative items for your home and to give as gifts.

Are you ready to start creating a beautiful snowflake?!

My DIY kit includes Macrame Cord, Wood Snowflake Middle and a Wood Snowflake Charm. 

Here is a list of some additional supplies you will need: measuring tape, long straight pins, scissors and a comb.

To get started cut 12 sections of cord 18" long.

For this design I am only using two kinds of knots - the Larks Head and the Square Knot Sinnet. Both of these are shown in the video.  

Once you've completed the knotting, you will trim the cords (careful not to cut the cords creating the hanger) and then use a comb to carefully brush the cords out creating a fuller, more textured look.

Your Macrame Snowflake is now ready to Display, Enjoy or give as a Gift!
