Organize Your Prayer Life with a Prayer Board
Have you ever felt like your prayer life could use a little more structure and intentionality? Life gets busy and sometimes, despite our best intentions, our prayers can feel scattered and unorganized. A Prayer Board is a beautiful and simple way to stay focused, deepen your connection with God and bring prayer into your daily routine.
I am doing a study on prayer with a group of ladies and to help us strengthen our prayer lives we decided to make Prayer Boards.

A Prayer Board is a dedicated space in your home where you can write down your prayers, reflect on scripture and see how God is working in your life. It serves as a visual reminder to pause, pray and trust Him. It is also a wonderful way to involve your family in prayer time together!
Let's Make a Prayer Board!
YES you can do it and no you do not have to be "crafty"! I came up with an easy way for you to make a Prayer Board for yourself or with a group of friends.
I designed printable pages with a Prayer banner, scriptures cards, a note card holder template and more to help you easily decorate your Prayer Board. You can find the printable pages by CLICKING HERE.
I have also provided a list of additional items, with shoppable links, I like to use on the boards like envelopes, push pins and more. (This list contains Amazon Affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.)
A Few Things You Need:
-
Cork board – You can use any size. Listed below are a few that I like to use.
- Double-Sided Cork & Linen Board 17" x 23"
- Light birch frame cork board 17" x 23"
- Farmhouse linen white bulletin board 17" x 23"
- Black frame cork board 17" x 23"
-
Envelopes – Colorful envelopes are perfect for holding your prayer requests, answered prayers & praises. Here are some options I like using.
- A1 Envelopes - Pastel Mix - 3 5/8 x 5 1/8
- A4 Envelopes – Pastel Colors - 4 1/4 x 6 1/4
-
Note cards – To write down prayers, praises & personal reflections.
- Lined Index Cards – Pastel - 3" x 5"
- Blank Colored Index Cards – 3” x 5”
-
Thumb tacks & push pins – To pin everything in place. Listed below are some fun colored thumb tacks and push pin clips that I like to use.
- Washi tape - To easily decorate your envelopes, card holder & board. This decorative tape has a soft surface with lasting color & can be written on with pen or marker. It can also easily be torn or cut & the adhesive doesn't leave behind glue, making it great to use with other paper crafts & Bible journaling.
- Floral Printed Washi Tape Set
Now time to decorate & start using your Prayer Board!
Find a place in your home where you will see your prayers often. You can also hang it in a family space where everyone can contribute.
Pin scripture verses and sayings that encourage you to pray. Rotating these on a regular basis will keep your board fresh and inspiring.
Use note cards or index cards to write down your prayer requests and place them in the labeled envelope. This makes it easy to keep track of what you’re praying for.
Making Prayer a Daily Habit
Having a Prayer Board makes it easier to set aside time each day to talk with God. Whether you spend five minutes or half an hour, you’ll love having a dedicated space that keeps you focused and intentional in your prayer life.
Consider making it a family activity - let your children add their own prayers and praises. Over time, you’ll be amazed at how this simple habit strengthens your faith and reminds you of God’s love and provision.
